Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Ourconic Concepts, a brand of Ourconic, LLC ("Ourconic Concepts," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Ourconic Concepts website (the "Site"). It also explains the choices you have about your information. This policy applies only to the Ourconic Concepts Site and not to other Ourconic, LLC properties, which may maintain their own policies.
By using the Site or submitting information through it, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
What's in this policy
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Information you provide directly
When you use our contact form or signup form, or email us, we collect the information you choose to provide. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your organization or business name (if provided)
- The contents of your message, project details, or any other information you submit
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools, including but not limited to your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring website, and general usage patterns. See Cookies & Analytics for details.
Materials you submit for a project
If you engage us for services, you may share brand materials, written content, audio, images, or other files so we can perform the work. We treat these as confidential project materials and use them only to deliver the services you request. See AI & Machine Learning for how these may be processed.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about your request or project;
- Send you updates, newsletters, or marketing messages if you signed up to receive them (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- Provide, perform, and improve our services and deliverables;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- Understand how visitors use the Site through analytics; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. AI & machine learning
Ourconic Concepts produces content using a combination of human direction and AI-assisted tools. As part of providing our services, the materials you submit and the content we develop may be processed through third-party AI and machine-learning tools and services (including but not limited to tools for text, image, video, and audio generation). A human creative director reviews work before delivery.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your personal information or your submitted project materials to train AI or machine-learning models.
Where our third-party AI vendors offer it, we use configurations intended to prevent your inputs from being used to train their models and to limit data retention (for example, no-training and zero- or limited-retention settings). Each vendor's own handling of data is governed by its respective privacy policy and terms.
This reflects the commitments in our Trust Standard: a human decides, we ground the work in your real materials, and we stay accountable for the tools we use.
4. Cookies & analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly and to understand usage. A cookie is a small file stored on your device.
We use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors interact with the Site, such as pages visited and time spent. This data is generally aggregated and used to improve the Site. Google Analytics may set its own cookies and process data under Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Our Site also runs on WordPress and may set standard cookies necessary for the site to operate. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Site functions.
5. Third-party services & links
The Site integrates with, links to, or embeds content from third-party services. When you click an outbound link or interact with an embedded service, you may leave our Site or share information with that third party, whose privacy practices are governed by their own policies. These third parties include, but are not limited to:
- Gumroad — for purchasing Prompt Packs and related products. Payments and checkout are handled by Gumroad under its own privacy policy. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
- Apple Music and other music streaming platforms — for listening to our sampler album and other audio.
- YouTube and other video platforms — for embedded or linked video content.
- Other Ourconic, LLC websites — including weareourconic.com, ourconicmedia.com, and ourconicentertainment.com.
- Google — for analytics, as described above.
We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites and services. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third party before providing information to it.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as follows:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site and deliver services (such as hosting, analytics, email, payment processing, and AI tools), under terms that limit their use of the information;
- Within Ourconic, LLC and its brands as needed to respond to your request or deliver services;
- Legal and safety reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Ourconic, LLC, our users, or others; and
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will continue to protect your information under this policy.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — for example, to respond to your inquiry, deliver and support a project, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations — and then delete or de-identify it. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the reason we collected it.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing communications. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contactus@ourconic.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails.
10. California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, gives you certain rights regarding your personal information, including:
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
- The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions;
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information; and
- The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your California rights, contact us at contactus@ourconic.com. We will verify your request before responding, as required by law.
11. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
